This is the church of Miraculous Mama Mary.
It’s a place of serenity and holiness. The beauty of the structure, its architectural design, and its position. It is located in Marian Hills, Lindogon-Simala, Sibonga, Cebu, Philippines.
An old man years ago had predicted that one day a lady in white would do a miracle and a church will be built. When the old man passed away, 60 years later a group of monks arrived. They decided to plant crops on this land in order to survive. Later, at that time, a killer epidermis (Dengue) had swollen the place that even the crops can no longer be preserved. One night, a friar saw a lady in white, shedding of tears. He cannot believe in himself that he found out the Blessed Vigin Mary. The Blessed Virgin Mary asks for his avail to pray and the friar did what She said. The friar and the people lived on that land had also offered foods. The Blessed Virgin Mary saved the people and the land, and then they build a church for Mama Mary.
The prayer to Mama Mary is thus powerful that you can see hundreds of letters saying ‘Thank You‘ to her, displayed inside the church. These are some of the photos we captured from the moment we entered, and feel blessed as we go home.
Part of the church’s facade on the left side, when you enter the gate.
Part of the church’s facade on the right side, when you enter the gate.
A big statue of Mama Mary.
The bell of Nazareth. (I think? I forgot the name of it. It hung on the gate somewhere on the left.) 😀
The church’s facade and the blue sky.
Seeing the landscape above ground.
To light a candle and pray is good for the heart.
They are forming a line to pray to Mama Mary’s image, beside the stairs. That stairs are ways to go around when you see the next pictures below…
This is where you will end-up from that stairs.
Another place to pray.
Behind those wooden bars is where they held masses everyday at 12 noon.
The statue of Baby Mama Mary.
The interior of the church. Each cabinet has a different statue of Mama Mary and other Saints. And also statues of Angels.
The opposite side of the church’s facade.
These are given free to us. It has prayers at the back for you to read everyday.
